MySpot 120 is a post-style barrier that guards individual parking spaces against unauthorized use. The post is locked in position to block access. With the use of a key, the post can be unlocked and laid flat on the ground, to allow access. The key is removed when unlocked; the barrier will self-lock when it is raised to the blocking position.
A unique aspect of the MySpot 120 is its ability to absorb bumping and survive light collisions. Even the most robust posts and barriers will eventually bend and stop functioning due to the inevitable abuse they are exposed to by cars in a parking garages. the MySpot is double-hinged, so that even when it is locked up, it is supported by a very strong spring. When the external force exceeds about 30 Kg (60 lbs), the barrier will start to yield. When the external force is removed, the post will spring back to the locked up position.
