How Can I Reboot Without opening the MS500?

 

It is possible to remotely reboot the MySpot 500 in one of 2 ways:

1.  Using a PK250 keypad remote.  The remote has a special command for reboot.

2.  By pairing 16 remotes.  The memory will be erased when you pair the 16th remote.

To achieve solution #2 you need 2 HTm fobs.  Place them in the dual button mode (see below), and pair the 9 combinations for the first fob, then pair as many as you need from the second fob.  The MS500 has already at least 2 fob paired, so you will need to add 5 from the second fob.

When the 16th fob is added, you will get a light show on the green and red LEDS of the MS500 signifying a reboot.

 

2-Button Mode of the HTm fob

• Hold buttons 1 and 2 for about 10” until LED on the remote starts flashing

• Release buttons and press and hold button 2 until the flashing stops.
   

To return the fob to the 1-Button Mode

• Hold buttons 1 and 2 for about 10” until LED starts flashing

• Release buttons and press and hold button 1 until the flashing stops.
